Painting vacation on the Kintyre peninsula in the west of Scotland

In the beautiful setting of the Kintyre peninsula your tutor Fiona Macrae shows you how to let loose with drawing and painting and how to develop your skills in texture and technique.
The course is designed to encourage gathering what attracts you from the landscape – looking and looking again at colour, texture, light and form and using usual and unusual materials to record images and feelings. The sketchbook will be the fundamental tool from which to create your works of art. Suitable for all levels of ability.
Discover creative ways of seeing, adding new dimensions to your work, in a comfortably relaxed and informal atmosphere.
This art holiday will be provided by Karen Beauchamp at Whitehouse Art and includes 5 full days of art tuition (6 hours per day in two 3-hour sessions); 6 nights in comfortable accommodation; breakfast; buffet, picnic or cafe lunch; three course evening meals cooked with locally sourced produce; discussions and talks; possible musical evenings.
