In addition to our scheduled itinerary we offer bespoke packages for groups and special occasions. For example we have created magical honeymoon riding experiences, tailor-made birthday picnic rides and even a wedding beach-ride, as well as delivering bespoke holidays for larger groups such as University Riding Clubs, women-lead activity holidays and groups of friends. We can also offer a variety of other farm activities during your stay, ever wanted to shear a sheep, comb and spin a fleece or forage for your own dinner? Please get in touch with us at email@example.com and talk to us, we love a challenge!
We are situated just off the B842 on the Southend Road, right at the very tip of the Kintyre Peninsula. To get to us, follow the A82 out of Glasgow, keeping stright at Tarbet on Loch Lomondside onto the A83. Stay on the A83 all the way to Campbeltown following the coastal road. From Campbeltown follow the signs to Southend (B842) and turn left at the Wilder Ways sign.
The closest international airport is Glasgow International. There is a small shuttle flight with Loganair that runs daily to Campbeltown which is relatively inexpensive if you book in advance (from £32 each way) and only takes 40 mins, landing its 16 seater plane on the UK’s longest runway at Macrihanish. Flights mainly leave at 9.05am and 17.30pm from Campbeltown and from 9.45 am and 18.10pm from Glasgow. Otherwise Glasgow airport is a 3 hour drive from Glen Kerran or 4 hour bus journey (see below).
From Campbeltown airport you can get a taxi to the farm. If you are coming on a holiday you will be collected from the airport.
There is a regular bus service from Glasgow Bus Station (Buchanan St) to Campbeltown – service 926. Buchanan bus station is easily accessible from all mainline Glasgow train stations. Buses leave every 2/3 hours and take 4 hours and 10 minutes.
One bus a day picks up from the airport at 14.20pm and runs directly to Campbeltown. Otherwise you can get the Glasgow Airport Express bus-service 500 into Glasgow and pick up the regular 926 to Campbeltown from there. The airport express leaves every 10 minutes and takes about 15 minutes into Glasgow.
The daily 8.30am bus from Campbeltown drops off at Glasgow airport at 12.25pm. With any other departure, you would need to go into Glasgow and get the Airport Shuttle 500 service back to the airport.
If you are coming on a holiday you will be collected from the Campbeltown bus station. For all other riders there is a local bus (44) that runs to Southend and that will drop you off at the end of our drive. For the less intrepid a taxi from Campbeltown is about £15 to the farm.
