Sue was brought up in Edinburgh and moved to the Borders in 1996 after meeting her husband Rob, a local furniture maker.
Due to a period of ill health some years ago she changed direction in her life. The business she created as a result of this was established in 1998. Sue enjoys the experience of gathering information, experimenting and creating something innovative. Her inspiration comes from the colours and textures she sees around her.
The main focus of her business is in the design of scarves, wraps, bags and corsages. She also makes a range of small gifts. Over the past three years she has added nuno felting to her business and is enjoying creating light and textured scarves and wraps using this technique. She has recently been adding silk and velvet to this part of her work.
Sue has her own studio and shop which is situated at River Cottage, Riverside Road, Selkirk. You are most welcome to come and see her working and also purchase sumptuous accessories and gifts.
Sue has also been part of a craft co-operative for 14 years. The Crafters is a group of 13 local artists and designers who have a shop in Melrose.
