Gallery showcasing work of artists and artisans from around the region.
The newest Gallery in the Borders, Emma Herdman Gallery. Situated in the beautiful and historic Borders town of Melrose. The space is cosy and intimate, filled with eclectic items ranging from landscapes, photography, jewellery, ceramics, wood and home ware.
The Gallery showcases the work of artists and artisans from around the region; established, new graduates and self-taught. So many artists do not appear on the radar in our towns and the objective of the Gallery is to create a platform to show off this talent!
The following are on board so far: Clare Brownlow, Helen Wilson, Fiona Luing, Helen Wilson, Linda Foster, Lisa Forbes, Lynn Renney, Mark Haillay, Rachel Lawson, Reclaimed Wood Man, Robert Anderson, Silvertangle, Sivi Davey and Tony Nelson.
The gallery has very personal touch. Emma knows and has sourced each artist. She is herself an artist, she creates pastoral and almost whimsical watercolours. She studied Fine Art at De Montfort University and École des Beaux Artes, Strasbourg. You can see her at work in the Gallery too.
The Gallery is found at 1, The Wynd, Buccluech Street, Melrose. Opening hours Tuesday to Thursday 9.30am – 2.30pm. Friday and Saturday 10.00am - 4.00pm.
