Genuine Scottish Knits has over 300 plus years’ experience hand crafting garments for some of the world’s most famous designers. We are a family run business that has been trading since 1968 passing on the knowledge through the generations. We are one of the few independent knitwear mills left in Scotland. This heritage can be seen in the quality and classic style of knitwear we produce. All of our knitwear is made from 100% natural yarns and is knit and hand finished completely in our own factory
Our factory shop has a comprehensive range of knitwear and accessories made in the very best cashmere, merino, alpaca and lambswool. You can also purchase many of the fine yarns we use in the mill for your own projects. The shop has a relaxed atmosphere giving you the time and space to appreciate the range and quality of our knitwear.
Please note that for larger parties of visitors an arrangement out of normal working hours can be accommodated upon request.
We have excellent parking facilities next to main entrance of the mill, with easy access from the M6 motorway. The train station is a 2 minute walk to the mill, and we are within walking distance to the historic town centre of Annan for refreshments.
