"Hand Pict" is the showcase and shop for the Angus Craft Association. It is made up of a co-operative of local crafters and artists, usually between 15 and 20 participants, who all work together to manage and run the shop and offer a wide selection of their items made locally including jewellery, woodwork, ceramics, painted glass, artwork, textiles, bags, quilting and much more. The majority of pieces for sale in the shop are made in Angus, with occasional products from crafters and artists in other areas of Scotland.
You have the chance to speak directly to the people who create these unique items as they take turns working in the shop and are passionate about what they do, and are always happy to talk about projects and commissions. You may also have the chance to observe them at work during their time in the shop, or even take part in the craft at one of the workshops participants run (additional charge applies).
Where ever you are visiting from, you are sure to get a warm welcome and an insight into the Local Arts & Crafts of Angus, as well as the chance to own a unique piece of Scottish art for yourself.
