A slightly obsessive maker, creator and collector, Nonnie Dingwall has been creating art pieces in fused glass since 2015.
Almost entirely self taught, Nonnie became intrigued with the ever changing properties of fusing glass after taking a 2hr taster course at Orkney College.
Now firmly established in her shed/workshop/gallery she spends time designing, creating and experimenting with glass. Cutting and shaping pieces of glass into what has become her trademark quirky collage type pieces. Although many pieces are replicated, heilan coos, puffins, due to customer demand, each one is unique in its own 'personality' due to the nature of the handcut glass.
As well as selling her work through her website and facebook pages, Nonnie also sells her work through the following shops
Orkney Tweed Shop, 23,Victoria St, Kirkwall
Starlings, 57, Albert St, Kirkwall
