Nestling in a beautiful valley in Highland Perthshire, Sula's shop and workshop create hand-crafted soft furnishings including curtains and blinds, throws and cushions as well as fine upholstered furniture using their signature Harris Tweeds and Scottish wools. The shop also has a range of unique, locally made crafts for sale. Owner Catriona MacGeoch founded Sula in 2005, and although Sula's home is in Perthshire, the heart of the business, and Catriona herself, really belong to the islands of the Outer Hebrides. Childhood summers spent in her grandmother's croft on the Isle of Lewis left her with a passion for the colours and textures of Harris Tweed, and the clickety click sound of the weavers looms is still a sound that is both evocative and inspirational for her. Sula does not mass produce but offers limited edition and bespoke designs, mostly using the legendary Harris Tweed, the only cloth to have its own Orb trademark of distinction.
