In 2015, husband and wife - Doug and Kate Blake - achieved a long term goal of relocating to Harris and started their business, The Hebridean Design Company, Initially specialising in machine embroidered art and gifts, as well as bespoke commissions, they soon extended their repertoire to create Handmade Glass.
In December 2018, they opened their own premises - Ardhasaig Glass & Arts - which consists of a retail and gallery area which also serves teas and coffees, a glass workshop and an embroidery studio.
Located 2 miles North of Tarbert, and on The Hebridean Way, there is ample parking, restroom, baby changing facilities, and full disabled access.
Small seating areas inside and outside allow you toenjoy yur coffee and cake in comfort. But, if you are in a hurry - takeout service is also available.
Ardhasaig Glass and Arts also showcases other designers and artists work - including Eilidh Campbell Scottish Coastal Artist.
And with stunning uniterrupted views of West Loch Tarbert, this is a perfect spot for artists, photographers and those who just enjoy Harris scenery and wildlife.
