The Selkie Collective has a zero waste shop on the main road through Broadford and a women's community, sharing time and space with other women in wellbeing events throughout the year in the local area.
In the shop a wide range of refillable foods including pasta, rice, grains, cereals, sugar, nuts & seeds are stocked, just buy what you need without the plastic packaging, including household cleaning and body care products.
Organic fruit and vegetables and fresh sourdough are delivered each week. There is a range of natural cosmetics & skincare, soaps, crafts and also eco friendly household supplies. Many of the products are from small Scottish food, beauty or craft businesses.
The women's wellbeing events range from foraging in forests and on the shore with local experts to crafting and making workshops. These spaces are an opportunity for women locally and from a far to connect with each other, themselves and the beautiful landscape of Skye and Lochalsh.
