When you visit the weaving shed you will be able to see, hear, smell and feel the weaving process as you watch the iconic Harris Tweed being woven. Explore the production process, find out about the warp and weft, the purpose of the shuttle, how the cloth is finished and the history of the Orb stamp. After the demonstration the shop has a colourful selection of the finished cloth available to buy, perfect for your own imaginative projects. The shop also holds an excellent selection of handcrafted Harris Tweed clothes, accessories, bags and home ware all made by the weaver. Also available are original art works and jewellery the weaver makes from shells, sea glass and Lewisian Gneiss all collected from the local beaches.
