Lovely traditional plant centre with award-winning tearoom set in a beautiful walled garden, easily found off the A68

Visit this gem of a plant centre, ideally situated in a lovely sunny Victorian walled garden. Nearly all the plants at Woodside are grown at our own nursery and we are proud to offer an excellent range of herbaceous perennials, hardy trees and shrubs, seasonal bedding plants, soft fruit, fruit trees and roses. Our plant centre shop stocks lots of useful gardening items, wild bird care products, and seasonal seeds and bulbs. Our knowleagable staff are always happy to provide advice about all your garden purchases.

Our award-winning tearoom is located in the heart of the walled garden, and offers freshly baked cakes, made ourselves to our own recipes, as well as delicious home-made soup and light lunches, all utilising the produce we grow ourselves in the garden.

Enjoy a stroll around the gardens, currently being renovated and improved, and visit the RSPB Homes for Wildlife garden, find the stumpery, and watch the birds feeding on our feeding station handily situated at the tearoom window.

Book Woodside for an evening event, or book a table at one of our evening dining events. Look out for our regular events, including Equestrian Theatre, basket-making and pruning workshops.

We welcome well-behaved dogs and we are well located for a welcome break for walkers, cyclists and bikers.

The Plant Centre is open every day. From March to October we are open 9am - 5pm, and from November to February we are open 10am - 4pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and 2nd January. Please check our website for details
