A stunning 4 day north and west Highlands tour from Inverness including Lochcarron, Applecross, Gairloch, Ullapool, Durness, Tongue, Thurso, John O'Groats, Dunrobin Castle and Dornoch.
Day 1 - Departing Inverness we drive west towards Lochcarron and the wonderful Applecross peninsula. The journey up Bealach na Ba take us over 2000 ft and from the summit we get an extraordinary view of the Highland landscape. The afternoon takes us towards Shieldaig and the Torridon mountains. After exploring the beautiful Loch Maree we finish the day at Gairloch for our overnight stop.
Day 2 - Departing Gairloch we follow the coastal road towards the scenic harbour town of Ullapool with a visit to Gruinard Bay and Corrieshalloch gorge on the way. The afternoon takes us north for a breath-taking drive past the stunning mountains of the North West Highlands towards Lochinver. We take a detour along the coast towards the breath-taking beach at Clachtoll before our overnight stop at Lochinver.
Day 3 - Departing Lochinver we journey towards the Kylesku bridge and north towards Durness where we visit the magnificent Smoo cave (one of the largest sea caves in Britain). The afternoon takes on a stunning north coastal drive through Tongue, Bettyhill and Armadale before our arrival at Thurso or Wick for our overnight stop.
Day 4 - Departing Thurso/Wick we continue along the north coast route towards John O'Groats before we begin our journey back towards Inverness down the eastern coastline. The early afternoon takes us to the magnificent Dunrobin Castle and gardens. Leaving the castle we visit the picturesque town of Dornoch before our arrival back in Inverness.
