Our regular 1 hour tours leave from the pier at Port Appin, a picturesque West Coast village between Oban and Fort William. Journey on a magical sea trip in the comfort and safety of a luxury open RIB - designed to maximise viewing potential. Relax in the company of our friendly and knowledgeable skipper, Alistair, who looks forward to showing you the local attractions and entertaining you with stories of Loch Linnhe's history.
Appin Boat Tours offer a regular approach by sea to the famous Castle Stalker (Castle Aaaaargh to Monty Python fans). On the tour visitors can also expect to see the natural sea arch at Clach Thoull, an iron-age broch on the isle of Lismore, historic lime kilns and the renowned, iconic Appin Lighthouse. Wildlife comes with no guarantee but the islands around Lismore have well established seal colonies, regular sea eagles sightings, resident otters and occasional porpoises. There is a huge range of seabirds including cormorants, shags, eider ducks, guillemots, Artic Tern and Gannets. Let us share this magical place with you on a leisurely and captivating boat journey around the islands.
The picturesque seashore village of Port Appin offers a huge range of interests to explore over a day. The approach to the village provides a wonderful opportunity to photograph one of Scotland's most iconic castles, Castle Stalker. The village itself offers a craft shop, two excellent hotels, bike hire and a community store. There is the hugely popular seashore walk Clach Thoull (Hole in the rock). This wonderful walk takes you along the shore with striking views onto the island of Lismore and the distant mountains of Morven. Before or after your boat tour you could have a perfect picnic down by the sea or treat yourself to top class fare at one of the hotels.
