Circumnavigate the Isle of Arran on the Arran Coastal Way. This self-guided walking holiday promises rugged Scottish views, thriving wildlife and a warm welcome at coastal towns and villages, with long rambles through woodland and on scenic beaches.
Walking holidays with Contours are self-guided, so departure times are completely flexible and you can build your walking group entirely from friends and family — or opt to hike alone. Daily luggage transfers are included, along with 24/7 emergency support, breakfast each morning, and all the maps and guidebooks you'll need to find your way.
We offer two versions of the Arran Coastal Way, with multiple itineraries with different daily mileages to choose from.
Complete a full 66-mile circuit of the Isle of Arran, often known as "Scotland in miniature" thanks to its mountainous uplands and the woodland trails to the south of the island. Take on this walk over four to eight days, with a wide range of daily mileages to choose from.
Our short break is a three-day walk along the northern half of the Arran Coastal Way. The route meanders from Brodick to Machrie Moor along sandy beaches and forest tracks, with a transfer back to Brodick when your walk is complete.
Looking to modify our standard tours? It's easy to add extra nights at stops of your choosing, so you can build in plenty of rest days and explore the area in full.
