This guided tour to the Beinn Narnain in the Arrochar Alps will be a day to treasure! The views on a clear day are absolutely stunning as you climb up to the foot of Beinn Narnain, and the scenery just gets better better as you reach the summit.
This Guided Day Tour takes you to the west side of the Trossachs where the Arrochar Alps sit, one of the Arrochar Alps is called Beinn Narnain which has some of the most stunning views looking into the heart of the Trossachs from high above. Once picked up from Stirling Train station we're under two hours away to the foot of the Arrochar Alps, parked at the carpark we cross the road to begin the hike up to Beinn Narnain in all its glory. As we zigzag our way up through the forestry with some views revealing themselves now and then and after 40-50 minutes we are above the treeline. Here we're greeted with the stunning views of the Cobbler which keeps you company for the rest of the day along with other stunning mountains that surrounds you, as well as the stream which makes great for midge attacks on cloudy summer days. This path is fairly easy to walk and it's hard to put your camera away especially on a clear day! Passing the Narnain boulders which can be a good place to rest or shelter if needed, they are huge! The path continues up towards the very foot of Beinn Ime, Beinn Narnain and the Cobbler, and yes all three can be done in one day if you're fit enough. After a little break, and as we head up to Beinn Narnain the views keep on coming! With a little scramble here and there as we near the final push to the summit, we just need to get through the boulder fest and we reach the top. The summit views on a clear day are unreal, honestly there some of the best views I've seen! As we walked up the path earlier we once raised our heads to look at the mighty Cobbler, now we look down on the mighty Cobbler from the top of Beinn Narnain, and with the surrounding mountains and lochs it will take your breath away! At the top of Beinn Narnain we will relax and enjoy our pieces, (sandwiches), and what's left of the lunch box, also getting those important pictures taken for your great memories all before heading safely back down and dropping you off at Stirling train station.
