LOCH LOMOND & THE WEST HIGHLAND WAY
Hiking past the great Ben Glass Waterfall to the rugged hills of Loch Lomond’s northern end we pass lovely old forests of birch-, oak- and hazel trees. We come across ancient ruins of old settlements pointing to the lively history of the area. You may even spot some wild goats left behind when people were moved off the land in the 19th century.
There are grand views, particularly when Loch Lomond appears like a discovery. Beautifully wooded shorelines and beaches may entice you for a swim and a relaxed picnic before we signal the ferryman to rescue us back to civilization.
Enjoy the drive along the complete length of Loch Lomond’s western shore and the opportunity to enjoy a pint or a wee dram in one of Scotland’s oldest and most popular pubs, the Drover’s Inn.
