This is a guided, scenic 1 hour, 15 minute wildlife trip aboard our 65 seater passenger vessel, Dolphin Spirit. We run 4 times daily (10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm) from April through to Oct. Starting up in May 2017, the Dolphin Spirit's sister vessel, the Dolphin Mischief RIB will also be available. She will run 3 times a day (9.30am, 12.30pm, and 3.30pm), taking thrill-seeking passengers on a 2 hour adventure to Chanonry Point and beyond. Parking is available at the marina, either in front of the building or at the end of the marina itself. For all trips, we ask that passengers arrived at least 10 minutes before departure to ensure a swift and prompt departure.
Dolphin Spirit Inverness is a newly accredited 5-star boat trip situated in Inverness Marina on Longman Drive, a few minutes’ walk from Inverness city centre. Established in 2015, our company is named after our flagship vessel, Dolphin Spirit, a luxurious and fully accessible 65-person cruiser which sails around the Inner Moray Firth on the lookout for various wild animals. Trips aboard the Dolphin Spirit are around 1 hour and 15 minutes long, including a running commentary from one of our trained guides about the local landscape, history, folklore, and, of course, the wildlife. The route followed by the boat is a natural hunting ground for a wide variety of wildlife; seals, otters, porpoise, and dolphins all live in and around the waters, along with a vast array of seabirds and a few birds of prey. With three seating areas to choose from, including a spacious heated cabin, passengers can experience the sights along the way in comfort.
The Dolphin Spirit’s sister vessel is a cheeky little RIB called the Dolphin Mischief; a fast-paced 12-seater vessel that provides a whole other experience for thrill-seekers. Able to go farther and faster than Dolphin Spirit, Mischief takes passengers up beyond Chanonry Point on an adventure spanning 2 hours. While there is no formal commentary on the trip, the skipper will always take a few moments to let passengers catch their breath, and to talk about the beautiful scenery and landmarks around them. While the end goals for both Spirit and Mischief are the same, both provide a totally different experience, accessible to several different groups and occasions.
So whether you are looking for a relaxed family day out or adrenaline-fuelled fun, Dolphin Spirit has just what you need. For Dolphin Spirit, prices start at just £18, and at £32 for Dolphin Mischief. Sightings cannot be guaranteed, and minimum age and numbers apply for Dolphin Mischief.
Trips aboard the Dolphin Spirit run from April until the end of October, 7 days a week, 4 times a day (10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm). Dolphin Mischief will be running from May until October 3 times a day (9.30am, 12.30pm, and 3.30pm).
