Experience the Fife Coastal Path - one of Scotland’s quieter and more peaceful long-distance hiking trails. Along the way you will visit places such as the white beaches along the East Neuk and quaint fishing villages such as St Monans and Elie.

The Fife Coastal Path is one of our new walking tours, stretching from North Queensferry on the outskirts of Edinburgh to the historic town of St Andrews. The Kingdom of Fife is one of Scotland’s most idyllic areas and offers spectacular sea views, craggy cliff tops, expansive sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages, historic sites, abundant birdlife and wildlife. The sights along the way are quite breathtaking and before you know it you have walked 10 miles without realising it and have enjoyed every minute.

The 62 miles (100 km) that make up this route follow the coast for most of the way, and you will pass through quaint little harbour villages in the East Neuk of Fife including Lower Largo, St Monans and Crail. You will also visit the charming village of Elie with its spectacular sandy beach which offers wonderful views across the Firth of Forth towards the famous Bass Rock.

Originally a fishing village, Elie, now attracts visitors all year round who come for the invigorating sea air, picturesque golf courses, scenic coastal walks, numerous watersports and delicious freshly caught seafood. For those interested in birds there is plenty of opportunity to experience the diverse birdlife throughout the walk.
