If it's castles, lochs, mountains and views of the Scottish Islands, then this is one of our most recommended personalised tours for you. This whole day tour takes in some of the best of Scotland's scenery.

Leaving Edinburgh we travel towards Stirling where we will get fleeting views of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument (other tours are available which specifically visit these attractions). From here, we make our way for a brief stop at Doune Castle, which featured in Monty Python, Game of Thrones and Outlander. We then drive through the bustling town of Callander which is situated on the River Teith.

Settle back and relax as we navigate through some of the most beautiful lochs and hills Scotland has to offer, we can make numerous stops for photographs. We travel alongside Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earnand the villages of Strathyre and Crianlarich before passing Ben More which stands 1174m high. Soon we arrive at Tyndrum where we stretch our legs for a short comfort stop before driving past sections of the West Highland Way and reach the viewpoint of Loch Tulla, before driving up and through the mighty Glen Coe, again plenty of stops are made for photographs. Glen Coe is often considered one of the most spectacular and beautiful places in Scotland. We make our way along the banks of Loch Leven and Ballachulish before heading north to the town of Fort William.

´╗┐Fort William located on the banks of Loch Eil gives us an opportunity to stretch our legs before embarking on the journey to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Jacobite Steam Train that travels between Mallaig and Fort William. While in Fort William, we can visit the Ben Nevis Distillery and take in the view of Ben Nevis. A short drive away is the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct and Monument. We will try to time our duration here to see the steam train travel over the viaduct, however, this is down to the timetabling of the service. Our journey back to Fort William takes us past Loch Shiel. We then head further north, passing Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK), to make a stop at the Commando Memorial which is dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Our journey back to Edinburgh starts by driving along the banks of Loch Laggan before a brief stop off in Dalwhinnie. Finally we head for home via the A9 which cuts through the heart of Scotland.
