One of our most popular tours, and it is easy to understand why. As well as sampling a few incredible drams at the most picturesque distilleries the tour also takes in views of Bennachie and visits a part of whisky folklore, The Grouse Inn.
Starting at GlenDronach Distillery which was founded in 1826, this hidden distillery has been producing the finest sherried whiskies for nearly 200 years. Located in Forgue, by Huntly, the distillery has a reputation of high quality, inimitable and individual character. A reputation that has travelled worldwide - to those in the know, it's a well kept secret!
Knockdhu is another incredible distillery, hidden away in the back roads by Huntly. Traditional, hands on and a complete lack of automation help create this delicate yet wholesome Malt. Bottled as AnCnoc (A-Knock), the distillery take its name from the Gaelic for Black Hill. You can see this behind the distillery, it is also where the distillery draws its water from in a highly sophisticated yet oh-so simple process.
The Grouse Inn is a must-visit destination, home to over 700 whiskies and the whimsical wit of landlady Wilma, you'll be well looked after for food and drink in this vintage part of the Cabrach, often regarded as the World's Largest World War I Memorial.
Tour Itinerary may change, depending on Distillery Operation hours and seasonal changes. Bespoke tours can he arranged on request.
