Portree on the Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye Exclusive

Explore the mystical Isle of Skye with an exclusive private tour with Nordic Visitor to see the impressive highlights of the island, immerse yourself in the natural landscape, and experience the local culture.

This private tour will take you from Edinburgh all the way to the Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland where you'll stay two nights to take in the formidable landscape. Your local, private guide will recommend and adjust stops along the way based on your interests.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN EDINBURGH

Upon your arrival in Edinburgh, you will be greeted by a private driver who will take you to your hotel in the city centre. For those arriving early in the day, we recommend spending the afternoon walking through the city and exploring the Old Town and New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are also plenty of museums and landmarks to visit within the city centre, including St Giles Cathedral and the majestic Edinburgh Castle.

Spend the night in Edinburgh.

DAY 2: A WALK THROUGH EDINBURGH

You have the full day to explore more of Scotland's historic capital city. Delve into the culture and history with a private walking tour of the Old Town and its narrow, cobbled streets. Later, we recommend a walk up the Royal Mile and a visit to Edinburgh Castle.

Today your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable vehicle. You'll then journey to Skye, passing by some iconic locations along the way. You can admire the Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Doune Castle, which you may recognise from a variety of films and television series. Later, drive through the stunning Glen Coe valley and take in the view from the Spean Bridge Memorial.

Later, you'll have some time to visit and taste the local whisky at Dalwhinnie Distillery. You'll then head through the Cairngorms National Park with stunning mountain views.
