Our Isle of Skye Tour from Inverness is a 12 hour action-packed day which visits top sights such as the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, the Quiraing, the Cuillin Mountains, Portree, Eilean Donan Castle and Urquhart Castle.

The Isle of Skye Tour departs from Inverness Bus Station at 8.30am, where you will board a brand new and well-appointed 30-seater coach. Accompanied by an experienced local driver, and separate knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide, you will embark on a 12-hour adventure to the Isle of Skye. Highlights of the tour include;

The Black Isle

As we drive over the Kessock Bridge to the Black Isle, our journey takes us through sleepy Highland villages and rolling farmland

We have a short stop at this cute hamlet, where you can snap a photo from the railway bridge (10 minutes)

We stop at this fjord-like expanse of water for fabulous views (10 minutes)

The Skye Bridge

After enjoying the dramatic landscapes of the West Coast, we journey over the bridge, enjoying fabulous views of nearby islands (hopefully, if the sun is shining!)

Here you will have the chance to grab a coffee and take a peek at the harbour, the Skye Bridge, Castle Moil and the lighthouse (25 minute stop)

The Cuillin Mountains

At Sligachan there is a chance to go for a short walk to a beautiful river and admire the views of the Black Cuillin, or enjoy a dram in Seamus' bar (40 minute stop)

The Old Man of Storr

We will stop to admire this 50 metre high pinnacle from a loch-side viewpoint (10 minute stop)

Kilt Rock

This exposed sea cliff also boasts a magnificent waterfall, which tumbles 60 metres into the Sound of Raasay below (20 minute stop)

We stop here to pick up some refreshments from the community shop, and enjoy the views (20 minutes)

The Quiraing

One of the tour highlights for most, here you will have a chance to explore the vast and ancient volcanic hillside (35 minute stop)

The Trotternish Peninsula

As our journey continues north we travel through awesome volcanic landscapes, and will have a least one photo stop (10 minutes)

In this bustling fishing port, which is the main town on Skye, you can take a walk to see the famous pastel-coloured houses, indulge in some shopping or relax with a coffee (45 minute stop)

The Red Cuillins

We will stop at a picturesque coastal location to take in some final awesome views of these iconic mountains (10 minutes)

Eilean Donan Castle

We generally have two stops here so you will have plenty of photo opportunities, and can usually cross over the bridge to admire the castle close-up (30 minute stop)

Loch Ness

As we make our way alongside one of the world's most famous lochs, be sure to keep an eye out for Nessie!

Urquhart Castle

We will have our last stop of the day here, where you can view the castle and the loch from above (10 minute stop)

You will return to Inverness at 8.30pm after an unforgettable day exploring Skye!

Please note that the tour runs from 8am to 8pm in March and October, due to limited daylight at this time of year.
