The Isle of Skye with its endless miles of coastline always inspires with its natural beauty, history and wildlife. This wild and rugged walk of some 80 odd miles is constantly fascinating but never boring and provides memories to last a lifetime.
From our first base in Broadford we visit the haunting ruined townships of Boreraig and Suisnish to reach Torrin and the north end of Loch Slapin before moving on to Elgol and Camusunary through Glen Sligachan. Our walking is a mix of stunning coastal and mountain scenery.
We then visit Skye’s capital, Portree en route to Flodigarry from where we experience the crest of the spectacular Trotternish Ridge, Uig and the Quiraing.
Our final day takes us ever northwards around the coast towards Rubha Huinish, the most northerly point of Skye then up to join the road at Duntulm before returning south via the Skye Bridge, Kintail, Fort William and Glencoe.
