For the literary-minded, we have tours on offer to places of inspiration for writers of the past and the present.

We will take you to different locations to see and feel where some of the most famous Scottish writers such as Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Burns, Lewis Grassic Gibbon or Peter May and Ann Cleeves and many others have been inspired to write their books.

Take a tour through the Borders to visit the places that inspired Walter Scott’s classic novels. Let us not forget that he according to some he invented the historical novel.

Visit Lewis, Harris and Eriskay on the traces of Fin McLeod of the Blackhouse triology by Peter May or travel in through Shetland, Fair Isle and Whalsey in Jimmy Perez steps.
