Your guide is Adam Lyal (deceased), highwayman, who was executed in Edinburgh on 27th March 1811.
Mr Lyal leads you through the haunted alleyways & dark courtyards of the Old Town telling tales of witchcraft, plague, tortures, hangings and body-snatching.
Some of Mr Lyal's ghostly chums lurk around the Royal Mile, waiting to leap out and frighten you.
Although the subject matter is dark, Mr Lyal's approach is fairly light-hearted. There will be a few laughs, as well as a few scares, while you hear about Edinburgh's sinister past.
Tour lasts 75 minutes (approx.) and includes a copy of the best-selling 'Witchery Tales' book.
This tour runs on a nightly basis and departs from outside the front of the Witchery Restaurant on Castlehill, Royal Mile (near Edinburgh Castle).
