Venture through the darkened alleyways of the Old Town with Adam Lyal (deceased), a highwayman executed in Edinburgh on 27th March 1811. 'Jumper-Ooters' provide guaranteed ghostly appearances!
Your guide is Alexander Clapperton (deceased), who was an Edinburgh Cemetery Director during the 1840s.
Mr Clapperton leads you through the haunted alleyways & dark courtyards of the Old Town telling tales of witchcraft, plague, tortures, hangings and body-snatching.
Some of Mr Clapperton's ghostly chums lurk around the Royal Mile, waiting to leap out and frighten you.
Although the subject matter is dark, Mr Clapperton's approach is fairly light-hearted. There will be a few laughs, as well as a few scares, while you hear about Edinburgh's sinister past.
Tour lasts 75 minutes (approx.) and includes a copy of the best-selling 'Adam Lyal's Witchery Tales' book.
