Itinerary:

We will pick you up from the Edinburgh meeting point and start the tour. Our first stop is Blackness Castle which was used for Fort William.

After our visit to Fort William, we will make the short journey to Midhope Castle which was used for Lallybroch. The property is in a ruinous state and therefore a short visit but very worthwhile one.

We then continue on towards Falkland in Fife. The village was used as the location for Inverness and we will enjoy a walk around the square where the filming took place and the quaint shops which are dotted around. We also take the opportunity to enjoy some lunch at this point (not included). If we cannot visit Falkland due to road closures or weather problems, we will visit Linlithgow Palace as a substitute.

With 3 locations ticked off, we will not venture towards Doune Castle which portrayed Castle Leoch in the show. Doune is a real favourite and was also a filming location for other movies and TV shows including Game of Thrones, The Outlaw King and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Finally, we make the trip to Culross which was used as the location for Crainesmuir and the War Council Meeting. It is a beautiful village and the perfect way to end a perfect day.

We will then make our way to the same place we collected you from in either Glasgow or Dalmeny Train Station.

We look forward to welcoming you on this tour.
