St Andrews Cathedral
Private Tour to St Andrews and Quaint Fishing Villages
Start your private tour of St. Andrews from your hotel. Travel in style and comfort in our Land Rover Discovery 4. Experience the very best of St Andrews and the beautiful quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife. PRICE IS £350 FOR TOUR.
Leave the city of Edinburgh and journey through this region of Scotland which has so much beauty and history, just waiting for you to discover.
Our first stop will be the quaint village of Falkland, best known for its beautiful Palace, although some may recognise it from the TV series Outlander. This was said to be Mary, Queen of Scots favourite place as it was once the country residence of the Stewart kings and queens of Scotland. This wonderful palace is now open to the public to visit. After a fascinating tour of the palace, why not enjoy a leisurely wander around the peaceful village and maybe indulge in a bite to eat?
On to your destination St Andrews. One of Europe's finest towns; it is a place of history, learning and culture. It is a wonderful coastal resort, and the world's home of golf! The impressive ruins of St Andrews cathedral are simply stunning. It is hard to believe it was build in 1158 and became the centre of the Medieval Catholic Church in Scotland. Beside the cathedral over looking the sea is St Andrews Castle. Whilst exploring the castle ruins, learn of its gruesome history. Then take some time to explore this fabulous old town and university where Prince William and Kate met, before we chart a journey back to Edinburgh stopping at the beautiful shore side fishing villages of St Monans or Anstruther or Crail where you will have the opportunity to wander the cobbled streets and harbours.
