The Scotland Experience is made up of two members of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA), Margaret Hubbard and Alicia Salazar-Dawes.
Cead Mile Failte is Gaelic for 100,000 welcomes. Welcome to my page.
Is this the year you are planning to visit Scotland? If so, then welcome to Scotland. It is a wonderful country; our scenery, our castles, our music, our long summer nights and our scones. And this year we also have the Commonwealth Games, the Ryder Cup, and the 700th anniversary of one of the defining moments in our history, the Battle of Bannockburn.
Of course you can do it all with a guide book, but how much better with a guide? A local who can explain, interpret, develop and adapt to meet YOUR interests. As a genealogist, as well as a guide, I particularly enjoy taking visitors to where their ancestors had lived, so that they can see and feel for themselves the world of their forebears.
We have been guiding Scotland since 2006. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to introduce the country to visitors, show it off, tell its story and ensure that the best souvenirs you take home are your memories. Both Blue Badge Guides, Margaret and Alicia offer a variety of tours around Scotland and Margaret is based in the west, Alicia in the east.Margaret is from Argyll and Alicia came to Scotland from Venezuela in the late 1970s. Both have a passion for Scotland, its heritage and culture.
Whether you are new to Scotland, or the descendant of someone who feels to be ‘coming home’, I hope to say Cead Mile Failte to you in person someday soon.Types of Tours
