ITINERARY

DAY 1: Pick Up and Travel to Speyside

We have designated a single pick up point at the Edinburgh Airport on May 12, 2025 by 11:00am. Drive to Craigellachie Hotel in Aberlour.

DAYS 2-3: Explore Speyside

Tour the region where you will have an opportunity to hike and taste the local fare, tour a distillery or two and see the local sites. While here we will include a visit to Culloden Battlefield and interpretive center.

Speyside is a remarkable destination for whisky enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking a taste of Scotland's rich cultural and historical heritage. Characterized by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, and the meandering River Spey, Speyside offers breathtaking views, charming towns, and a wealth of things to see and do. The region is also home to the Cairngorms National Park, one of the largest national parks in the UK. Playing host to more than 50 distilleries, Speyside has the greatest concentration of malt whisky producers in the world, and we will visit more than a few of them.

DAY 4: Travel to the Highlands

Drive to Fort Augustus for the next part of our tour where we will be staying at the Lovat Hotel. We will be making stops along the way to show you why this region is so renowned.

DAYS 5-6: Explore the Highlands & Loch Ness

From Fort Augustus we will visit the famous Loch Ness with a sail of its waters and a visit to its ancient castle, including Urquhart Castle, Blair Castle which is the Highland Perthshire and has been home to 19 generations of Stewarts and Murrays of Atholl. In addition, we will make a stop of Eileen Donan castle, a medieval castle featured in many films.

By far the largest region in Scotland, the Highlands covers nearly 10,000 sq miles in northern Scotland. The region is home to stunning scenery, including the legendary Loch Ness. Sporting some of the world’s most stunning scenery, the region is spoiled with wonderful walks, and has one of the oldest and most fascinating histories on earth. If the great outdoors is not enough to fill your boots, kick back in the area’s luxurious hotels and resorts. The Highlands also feature legendary battlefields, museums packed with rich local history and breath-taking geological wonders, not to mention many famous distilleries and breweries.

Loch Ness contains more water than all the lakes of England and Wales combined, making it the most voluminous lake in the UK. This beautiful loch is located in the Scottish Highlands and is shrouded in mystery. Does a monster lurk in the deep? See for yourself as we take a boat trip from our home on the southern banks of the Loch, Fort Augustus. Loch Ness is one of those rare destinations that engages everyone, from children enchanted with Nessie, to adults interested in photography, hiking and more. It combines Jacobite history, stunning scenery and the possibility of a "monster" sighting, ensuring it's a perfect destination all year round.
