Explore Shetland's coastline from a sea kayak. No previous experience necessary. All trips are weather and sea-state permitting.
We do not have a schedule of trips. They are all arranged according to requests, the weather forecast and the sea-state. Locations are usually decided just a day or two before so we can have the best experience available on the day. If there is somewhere particular you would like to visit, let us know and we will try to get there.
This tour is generally aimed at those with previous kayaking experience, though complete novices can enjoy it too, as long as they are fit enough!
We will provide you with a waterproof jacket and trousers to wear over your own clothes. You should wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet, and take a change of clothes for after. You will need to take a packed lunch, snacks and something to drink with you on the trip.
You will receive some basic instruction from one of our well qualified leaders before heading out on the water.
If conditions permit we will explore cliffs and caves, or we may explore along sheltered, inland waters. In either case your group will be accompanied by at least one qualified coach who will tell you something of Shetland's history and wildlife.
