HighlightsWe leave Edinburgh crossing the River Forth over the magnificent Forth Road Bridge and head through Perthshire, known as the Heart of Scotland. We will then Travel over to Glenshee, the skiing capital of Scotland, hoping to catch a glimpse of wild deer or pheasant before heading down to the Royal Deeside.
There have been gatherings of one sort or another at Braemar since the days of King Malcolm Canmore, over nine hundred years ago. Today the gathering is run by the Braemar Royal Highland Society and each year large crowds come to acclaim their Monarch as Chieftain of the Braemar Gathering.
