We're Open

Join Wild West for a morning or afternoon safari discovering the wonderful wildlife of the wild Ardgour region, part of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. This trip is offered on a private basis.

This trip starts from Fort William, normally meeting at Banavie Locks Car park and heads south to cross the Corran ferry. Other meeting points can be arranged. From there we’ll explore the Kingairloch area looking for red deer, seals and the elusive otter. We do occasionally find all of Scotland’s Big Five on this trip along with wild goats and numerous species of sea birds. Porpoise and dolphin put in an occasional appearance and the landscapes are nothing short of breathtaking. You’ll also learn about the flora, geology and history of the area.

And everyone is blown away by the silence…

Tour Highlights

  • Look for otters, eagles and deer
  • Learn how the people lived in a bygone era
  • Hear tales of Kelpies and selkies
  • Discover how the landscapes were formed by glaciers and volcanoes
