A leisurely walk along the shore to view a variety of waders and other wildlife.
We will enjoy a relaxed walk along the shore at low tide where we will be able to view a variety of waders and other wildlife. This is a good chance to brush up on your ID skills, we will provide bird books for aiding identification. Binoculars are essential - please bring your own, we are unable to share due to Covid.
Location will vary according to the tide and weather forecast.
Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear recommended.. Bring a hot drink and a snack.

Wild Orkney Walks offers guided walks all year round. The walks cover a variety of habitats, from busy seabird cliffs and stunning coastline, to colourful wildflower meadows and white sandy beaches. Whether you would like to see Hen Harriers, Primula Scotica, our charismatic Puffins, or even some of our winter specialities like the Mountain Hares or Long Tailed Ducks, there will be a walk to suit you. Due to Covid-19 our max group size is now 6 and is restricted to one household/family group/social bubble. We are currently unable to offer our service of Wildlife Guiding.
