A leisurely walk along the shore to view a variety of waders and other wildlife.
We will enjoy a relaxed walk along the shore at low tide where we will be able to view a variety of waders. We will provide a telescope for viewing and ID books. Location will vary depending on tide times and weather conditions. Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear recommended, as are binoculars. Bring a hot drink and a snack.
Booking essential – details of when & where to meet will be given once the booking is confirmed.
Wild Orkney Walks offers guided walks all year round. The walks cover a variety of habitats, from busy seabird cliffs and stunning coastline, to colourful wildflower meadows and white sandy beaches. Whether you would like to see Hen Harriers, Primula Scotica, our charismatic Puffins, or even some of our winter specialities like the Mountain Hares or Long Tailed Ducks, there will be a walk to suit you. Due to Covid-19 our max group size is now 6 and is restricted to one household/family group/social bubble. We are currently unable to offer our service of Wildlife Guiding.
