Join Sami & Sawyer on this tour which is filled with history and culture. It includes everything from Harry Potter to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and from Avengers to Greyfriars Bobby. The grand finale of the tour is at the top of Calton Hill.

Our Wee Golden Walk II starts at the top of Castlehill, where we dive right into the fascinating history of Edinburgh Castle and its surroundings. You will learn about brazen attacks on the Castle and even on some of the items held within its walls. While we are atop of Castlehill, we begin to explore the legacy of witches and wizards in Edinburgh, both real and fictional. From there, we start our descent towards the Lawnmarket, where there are many unique surprises along the Royal Mile and its many Closes.

This walking tour of Edinburgh also detours from the Royal Mile to discover the storied history around the Grassmarket and Greyfriars Kirkyard. Sawyer is especially very keen to lead the tour towards his favourite story of all – Greyfriars’ Bobby. However, if you are looking for fun sites for any Potterheads, you are in luck, because both Sami (Gryffindor) and Sawyer (Hufflepuff) are alumni of Hogwarts. So, they make sure that you aren’t disappointed.

Once the tour returns to the Royal Mile, it provides Avengers fans an opportunity to take in most of the filming locations for the scenes from Infinity War. As the tour continues across North Bridge towards the New Town, even more history and views of the city are revealed. There is so much more to learn and discover on our walking tour of Edinburgh; we are confident it will educate and entertain all visitors.

The grand finale of the tour is the gradual climb up to the top of Calton Hill. There, you have magnificent 360-degree views of the city as we walk around the monuments. It gives you the chance to take beautiful pictures to help create lasting memories that will continue long after your visit. As you finish the tour, hopefully you will have fallen in love with our city as much as we have. More importantly, you will realise that you now have friends here in Edinburgh!

*Please note that Sawyer's participation is contingent on how he feels, weather, and conditions.
