Silver Sands beach is one of the finest in Scotland and overlooks the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh & The Lothians. This popular beach attracts watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking to relax on a sunny day. The other beach, Aberdour Black Sands, is located around the corner by the harbour.

Aberdour’s main attraction is its castle. Built by the Douglas family, the 13th century fortified residence was extended in the 16th and 17th centuries. Features include a gallery, a fine painted ceiling, a delightful walled garden with a beehive-shaped dovecote, and St. Fillan's Church in the grounds.

To the west of the town lies Aberdour Golf Club, a wonderful 18 hole, par 67 parkland course with stunning coastal views.
