Being the largest settlement on the Craignish Peninsula, the village has an impressive range of facilities including its own marina which boasts many yachting visitors from around the world as the town is the perfect place to explore the Inner Hebrides.
The area where Ardfern is situated is considered as the cradle of Scottish Christianity, with the historical Kilmartin glen with its stone circles, the Island of Iona close by, and also the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Dalriada, the Dunadd.
