The land of Cowal boasts beautiful contrasts from rugged mountains and dramatic sheltered glens, unspoilt forests and open moorland to abundance of little tranquil trout lochs and tumbling rivers. With so diverse environment this fabulous natural playground is perfect for gentle walks, challenging climbs, cycling as well as wildlife spotting and adventure sports. Cyclist will find a good network of carefully constructed cycle tracks and the trails for walkers are well marked and for all levels of ability.
