A walking route along much of the coast in this part of the Isle of Lewis takes you to Dalbeg Beach.
Facing north west into the Atlantic Ocean, this sandy secluded bay boasts remarkable cliffs, a natural stone arch and wildlife to spot including geese and golden eagles.
Behind Dalbeg Beach is a loch, which is connected to the sea by a small burn. The bay is safe enough for swimming, however care should always be taken.
