There is a range of fascinating walks that take visitors past deep gorges and high waterfalls amid an abundant plant life. it is this range of wildlife habitats and important geological features that led to the areas designation as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

One of the main attractions of the glen is the spectacular 15th century Castle Campbell which has been owned and maintained by the National Trust for Scotland since 1953.
