Edinburgh International Airport is seven miles west of the city centre, just beyond the city limits at Turnhouse. Where Scotland meets the world.
Edinburgh Airport is the 6th busiest airport in the UK and Scotland’s busiest airport.
There is no rail link with Edinburgh city centre, nor Glasgow (or anywhere), but there are regular buses. Airport traffic has doubled in the last three years, and looks set to continue to do so. The roof of the new car park provides reasonable aircraft viewing opportunities.
33 airlines serve 188 routes. In 2019 the airport served 14.7m passengers (+3.1% on 2018). The one runway is at a length of 2560m. More information can be found here: https://corporate.edinburghairport.com/about-us/facts-and-figures
