The ancient settlement of Kinghorn is today a popular but not too crowded holiday town, with two sandy beaches. During the summer months, Kinghorn Harbour beach is extremely popular with walkers and families.
At the southern end of town, a hill lined with Spanish-style villas leads down to the waterfront and the beach at Pettycur Bay, where fishing boats cluster round the small harbour and brightly coloured lobster nets dot the sands.
Kinghorn Harbour is located right by the high street and train station, with Pettycur Bay about 10 minutes walk. Both beaches offer spectacular views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh & The Lothians.
