Located to the west of North Uist, the sandy Kirkibost beach boasts beautiful Atlantic views.
Kirkibost Island was once part of North Uist before a year of storms in the 17th century separated it from the mainland. Today the island is home to wonderful sand dunes, seals and in the winter months thousands of barnacle geese from Iceland migrate here.
Due to tides, it is advised that the walk to the island is only undertaken with the knowledge of a local person or guide.
