The woods at Kylerhea are a great place for a short stroll and to find out about marine life.
This sheltered hide is set in a spectacular location with fantastic views across the Kylerhea narrows to Glenelg and the Kintail mountains. The walk to the hide is a short forest path from the car park, which is accessible via a stunning drive along a single track road.
Otters can often be seen on the shoreline from the hide, but seals are a more common sight on the rocks. Also, but very occasionally, schools of dolphins can be spotted swimming through the narrows.
From the A850 on Skye, three miles west of the Skye Bridge, take the unclassified road to Kylerhea. Before Kylerhea and at the signpost, turn north (left) on the small track to reach the car park
