St Cyrus and Johnshaven are two villages on the rocky east Aberdeenshire coast between Montrose and Inverbervie.
Picturesque coastline can be found at the village of St Cyrus, which is home to the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve (NNR). Here you can spot butterflies and peregrine falcons around the stunning inland cliffs, sand dunes and grasslands. A visitor centre is also located within the NNR.
The St Cyrus Hotel serves delicious local produce in the Bentleys Restaurant and the Great Scot Village Pub boasts an outdoor beer garden and children’s play areas.
The charming fishing village of Johnshaven is rich in maritime heritage. You can enjoy a bite to eat in the Anchor Hotel’s restaurant, which serves a variety of dishes from Aberdeen Angus beef to freshly caught seafood. The hotel is also home to a bar with a good range of wines, beers and spirits.
