This small village is located next to the Leet Water and dates back to the 11th century. The present village was redesigned in the 18th century and built around a large green. Here you will find an old Market Cross erected as a symbol of the commercial status the village once held. To the west of the village visitors will find the category A listed buildings of Swinton House and the 18th century dovecot.
