Dunkeld’s Parent Larch is situated behind the town’s cathedral and dates from 1738, when a group of five larches were planted in the area.
Getting there by railway:- Regular train service between Perth and Birnam. Walk or taxi from station to reach the riverside and larches.
Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports head north to the city of Perth. Then take the A9 northbound for 14 miles/22 km to reach Dunkeld. The riverside and larches are accessed on foot from Cathedral Street.
