The North Harris Eagle Observatory is at the heart of the golden eagle territory, surrounded by the Harris Hills north-west of the town Tarbert. It is part of the Outer Hebrides Bird of Prey Trail.
This popular timber framed observatory is open all year round to visitors and offers some of the best iconic views, providing the chance to see a wide range of wildlife, including buzzards, foxes, red deer, red grouse and ravens. You will also come across a wide range of plant life, including bog mosses, sundews and butterworts.
