Whiting Bay is a pleasant resort situated 4 miles south of Lamlash and 8 miles south of Brodick in the southern half of Isle of Arran.
Overlooking the sea, this third largest village on the island (after Lamlash and Brodick) has been a popular seaside resort since the late 19th century. It thrives on a great variety of accommodation and a wide selection of places to eat.
There are plenty of interesting forest walks in this area, especially the well-known trek through the woods of Glenashdale Falls, the island’s most impressive waterfall. The Giant Grave walk is also well worth taking, and in the burial mound at King Cross visitors can see the evidence of Viking occupation.
